Conversion: Automated painting at Airbus Military Spain with edrizzi® dry separation

At the Airbus Military Spain site, an existing paint shop with wet washout robots was converted to the edrizzi® dry separation system in 2014. The conversion was carried out by our project partner Seliba and has since proven itself in intensive multi-shift operation. The new system impresses with its long service life, simple maintenance, and a significant reduction in operating costs – while maintaining consistently high separation performance.

Case Summary Airbus Spanien

  • Conversion from wet to dry separation: Airbus replaced the maintenance-intensive wet scrubbing system with a modern edrizzi® system – sustainable and efficient.
  • Automated application: Used in a robotic paint booth with an extraction volume of 110,000 m³/h.
  • 72 edrizzi® Automotive 500 B FH boxes:Extraction in horizontal air flow – optimized for high overspray volumes.
  • Stable service life: edrizzi® filters can be replaced every 4 months, secondary filters (Paintstop green, 70 mm) every 4 weeks.
  • High paint processing: 240kg/day at 50% overspray and 45% solids content – ideally designed for the system.
