Conversion: Sustainable overspray separation at JLG Tianjin with edrizzi® & Viledon®

At its Chinese site in Tianjin, JLG Industries Inc., the global market leader for aerial work platforms, has converted its paint booths to a new paint mist collection system consisting of edrizzi® paint mist arrestors and Viledon® bag filters. The solution was implemented by Freudenberg Filtration Technologies and not only significantly reduces operating costs, but also improves maintenance requirements and the environmental balance in the long term.

Case Summary JLG Tianjin

  • Replacement for inefficient exhaust air systems: Up to 100 kg of paint sludge per booth per day led to filter clogging and high disposal costs – edrizzi® solves this problem permanently.
  • Compact dry separation system: 72 edrizzi® Vario S fine boxes ensure high paint mist absorption and easy handling.
  • Supplemented by Viledon® secondary filters: 72 Compact bag filters and 3 WinAir 50 units guarantee clean exhaust air in the VOC system.
  • Modular & maintenance-friendly: Quickly replaceable components and low replacement effort minimize downtime.
  • More efficiency, lower costs: Over 40% savings in exhaust air filtration compared to the previous solution.
  • Sustainable & resource-saving: No wet sludge, no chemical cleaning, low disposal costs thanks to thermal recycling of the boxes.
